Participants

Please see our user guides. As we will be present in the event place, our on-site crew will help users having issues.
We recommend that you inform the participants about the way Translator.fm translation system works a few days in advance. It is not possible to listen to the simultaneous translation using our system if there is no tablet, computer or smart phone available.

Broadcast Application

Yes. Depending on your WiFi infrastructure, we can reduce it to 0.5 seconds.

Mobile Application

On average, it consumes 5-8% of the battery per hour.
The broadcast stream is paused during a call. You can then go back to the application and continue listening. In addition to standard phone calls, this also applies to calls received on WhatsApp and other similar applications.
Of course. As with Spotify, Podcast, etc. you can do whatever you want while listening to the broadcast.

Application Features

Listeners can open the Translator.fm mobile app by connecting to a WiFi network or using their mobile internet, and they can listen to the translation.

Equipment

- For events with up to 100 participants, a standard computer would be sufficient. - For events with more than 100 listeners, we recommend using a computer with at least a dual-core, 2.4Ghz processor and 8 GB RAM. - Windows & Mac computers are compatible with our system.
Translator.fm works on iPhones with iOS version +8.0 and on all Android devices with version +4.0.
In this case, the event holders are required to distribute headsets to the participants. We can also supply headsets if demanded.

Professional microphones are not required, but we recommend testing your microphone with our system to ensure sound quality.
